Rob's parents took Rob and I to Hawaii for nearly two weeks (without the kids) to celebrate his graduation from medical school. We stayed in Kona on the Big Island for the entire time, and it was PERFECT! I can't even begin to express how much this vacation meant to us and how much we needed to get out!. Rob got certified to scuba dive last fall so this was his first real diving trip. We did 2-3 dives almost every day and couldn't get enough
Our condo was right on the ocean. We loved eating out on the deck and listening to the waves all night long. The condo didn't have AC, but that wasn't an issue at all with the fans on and the doors open to the ocean breeze.

We saw some amazing creatures and got some amazing photos.
This turtle was swimming just a foot away.
One day a pod of dolphins came to swim with us. We saw about 40 that day. Many other days we saw them in the bay, or they would follow our boats.
We did a night dive with giant manta rays. They are over 16 wide and weigh over 2000 lbs. This was a fantastic dive. I have never seen anything quite like this and hope to someday do this dive again. We had 16 of these giants show up for the feeding that night. I was surprised at how strong the current was created by their wings.
We also saw several octopus, scorpion fish, a whale shark, white tip reef sharks, a seal, and many more beautiful creatures.
